Black Fern Gifts — formerly Smoke & Bubble — is a family‑owned, Midwest‑made dream brought to life by me, Kim. I’ve wanted to create products I truly love for as long as I can remember, and thanks to one simple suggestion from my husband, that dream finally took root.

What started as hubby saying, “Hey, we should make our own soap… and maybe some candles too?” quickly turned into late‑night experimenting, endless scent testing, and a whole new passion I didn’t expect to discover in my 40s. Smoke & Bubble was born from those first handcrafted soaps and clean‑burning soy candles — and yes, my husband still loves “shopping” his own store.

As our creativity grew, so did our product line. Customers were gifting our candles and soaps for every occasion, and we loved being part of those moments. But we didn’t want our name to limit what we could offer. Enter Black Fern Gifts — a universal home for all the charming, cheeky, gift‑worthy pieces we create and curate.

Today, Black Fern Gifts blends small‑batch craftsmanship with personality‑packed designs: candles that crackle, soaps that soothe, shirts that speak, tumblers that turn heads, and new treasures we’re constantly dreaming up. This business is my heart, and I’m grateful every day that I get to build it.
